Congratulations to Julie D’Wan from CPJ Field & Co. Ltd – nomination received from Sarah Peirce and Mary Spillane.
“Julie is a funeral arranger for Constable and Toop Bromley, she also takes care of arranging all the embalming for all our London branches, and on top of that she trains all new starters for all the branches in London. She goes above and beyond on a daily basis, always helping out other staff members when ever they call or help or advice, she is never too busy to help anyone even though her work load is heavy enough. Julie also helps out in our Mortuary, dressing and en-coffining deceased even though this is not part of her job. I think Julie deserves recognition for all her hard work especially over the past year and half during the trying times of COVID – 19. As her manager I couldn’t of asked for a more hard working dedicated member of staff.”
“I joined CPJ Field Edmund and Sons Branch in December 2020, at the height of the pandemic. Julie was my internal support/ trainer. I spent 3 days at Bromley where Julie showed immense professionalism under very strained circumstances, i.e the branch was almost at capacity. She manged to find time to thoroughly go through the induction with me and share important insights that really helped me in my day to day working. She quickly understood the areas I would need to work on and encouraged me.
Her approach was one of understanding how daunting the role can be for someone completely new to the role and she made it clear that I would be likely to make mistakes but that it would be a steep but very positive learning curve. Outside my immediate team Julie is always my first port of call for assistance. No matter how busy she is she always seems to have time to answer my queries or to support me. I would like to see Julie receive recognition for carrying out her role under extremely challenging circumstances while providing positive, engaging training combined with sharing her extensive experience and insights.”
